I have just installed x-theme and would like to import the Grid Demo. Some confusing info that Grid is only for Pro user?

Thanks for writing in! Which gird plugin did you install? Are you using the The Grid plugin or the Essential Grid plugin? Please be advised that the plugin creators has changed their policies regarding the demos. You can only import the demos if you purchase a separate license for the plugin. This changes were imposed by the creators and not Themeco in which we do not have any control over it. I would recommend that you create your grid from scratch. To get familiar with the grid, please check out this documentation:

We always recommend that you learn to create the grids from scratch. When you know the basics of the grid and how to create one, the end results is endless. You should be able to create own unique grids as well.

Thank you, but disappointed in your reply. I am not a developer but have successfully installed three sites to date with X-Theme Demo content. I assumed I would be able to do so again with my fourth purchase of the Theme. The Demo that I am interested in using is https://theme-one.com/the-grid/kampala/. Do I understand that although you feature this on your sales page, it is no longer available?

I do not feel confident that I can follow the links you provided to create my own grid “from scratch.” If I must purchase a separate license can you please point me to where this can be done.

Yes, we do have this feature. When you install the theme, you can also install 20 premium plugins for free. These plugins are free to install. Any policy changes of a particular plugin like a feature that requires a separate license is way beyond our control as we only follow what the creators of the plugin.

Hello @windhover4,
Please go to The Grid > Import/Export > Importer and find Kampala grid.
Please be advised that only the grid and it’s settings will be imported. The grid items which will be coming from your Posts, you will need to add them. If there aren’t any posts yet, no grid items will be displayed.
