Install Error

I am getting this error when I do a fresh install and activate the theme:

Thanks for writing in! Please go to Tools > Site health > Info and make sure that there are no performance issues. You may need to resolve it first. Also, please make sure that you are using at least PHP 7.4 or PHP 8.0. For other troubleshooting, please do the following:

• Testing For Theme Related Issue
• Testing For Plugin Conflict
• Theme Update
• Child Theme
• Css/Js Customization
• Increasing Php Memory Limit
• Disabling Cache
• Disabling Cdn
• Permalinks
• Version Compatibility

I would love to do as you suggested (checking site health) unfortunately, your theme is blocking everything on my site. The site. Admin dashboard. Everything. Worst part is, even if I FTP in and remove the theme, some how, some way, it still throws that same error.

Hi Blaine,

If you have deleted the theme and you are still getting the same error, that means there are some other reasons behind your problem. I would suggest you remove the Cornerstone from the plugins folder and check if you can access the WordPress admin dashboard. If yes, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

I think it might be the PHP version. I am going to check that first. I didn’t realize we were on an old version… Too embarrassed to tell you which version the site is on… sigh

No problem, I would suggest you check and update the PHP version minimum to 7.4 and reinstall the X and check if that resolves your problem or not. If not, please let us know the credentials for further investigation.
