Inline Search Not Working

Hi,

No matter what I search for, my homepage inline search doesn’t take me to my cornerstone page. Sometimes it takes me to a basic blank Wordpress page. Sometimes it says the term isn’t available.

Can you help please?

Thanks for writing in! Upon testing, I see that inline search is functioning properly. You may experience issues with particular keywords in a page. Could you please provide us with some example search keywords and the page URL that you want to see in the search results, so that we should be able to assist you accordingly.

Thanks for checking in.

If you search something simple like “directions” or “events” you get “nothing to show right now.” Even “Bible” which is mentioned all over the site, returns “nothing to show right now.”

“Kids” takes you to a page that just says “kids” not the actual kids cornerstone page." Same thing with “messages,” “community groups,”

“Worship” takes you to a page that just says “worship night.”

Literally not a single thing I have searched has taken me to a designed cornerstone page.

Hi @StickAndGrow,

May I know the pages where those words are mentioned? If you built your posts and pages in the builder, I recommend manually adding excerpt on them with those words. Because the texts within the builder are not accessible through standard search query especially for v2 elements.

Hi,

I am not going to mark up every single page with every single word that any person ever might search. Please put in a developer request to try to make V2 elements work with search.

Thanks for updating the thread.

I understand that it can be a tedious to manually add excerpt. However as of now it’s the limitation of V2 elements. I will raise a ticket into our issue tracker.
