Individual slide padding and border radius not working

Hi all,

I’m trying to set up basic inline slider, but for some reason the border-radius and padding attributes of all the slides in the slider container aren’t working - i.e. changing values doesn’t result in any layout change.

Column attributes of other elements of the page are working fine.

Could someone please take a look at the back end and let me know what’s up? Login creds, page details, etc. are in a secure note attached here.

Hello @KEXINO,

Thank you for the inquiry.

We were able to reproduce the issue on your installation, but we are not yet sure what is causing it. We noticed that the changes are applied on the front end but not reflected in the actual builder. We are not experiencing the same issue on our installation, so it’s possible that a third-party plugin, custom script or modification is causing a conflict. Have you tried temporarily disabling the plugins?

We created a test page. (see secure note)

Best regards,

Many thanks for the fast reply - it’s greatly appreciated.

There’s nothing in particular that’s applied to that test page. The fact that you were able to create a working slider using another page makes me think it’s not a plugin-related issue.

The only thing I did was recently upgrade the install from X to Pro, so the page was initially created in X and is now being edited in Pro. This would give a possible explaination why your test worked, since your page was created in Pro from the start.

Could this be a reason why I’m seeing the issue? I was hoping there would be a way to fix the page without having to rebuild the whole thing from scratch.

Thank you for the update. It’s not working on the test page we created either. It loads the correct style on the initial load, but when you try to change it again, all styles are removed. This doesn’t happen on our installation, so it might be specific to your setup. Please try disabling all plugins temporarily, make sure to purge the cache, and then test it again.

I tried disabling all plug-ins, but the issue is still there.

I took a backup snapshot before updating to Pro. Shall I revert the install back to X, and then re-upgrade to Pro?

Hey @KEXINO,

I noticed that you are using Cloudflare. Please log in to your Cloudflare account first and purge your site cache. This is just be a caching issue. By the way, I have checked your slider and I can see that all of the Slides have a border radius of 1em and a padding of 3em.

Best Regards.

Hi Rue, thanks for reply.

My workflow is to disable CloudFlare services when working on any of our sites and only re-enable and flush cache once any work in complete. No CloudFlare caching was running during the thread exchange yesterday.

Just to confirm that we can exclude CloudFlare as a possible cause, first thing this morning I disabled CloudFlare, logged into the site and tried to edit any slider parameters as mentioned earlier, but I’m still having the same issue.

The settings you’re seeing for each slides are the default settings when adding an inline slider element. If you go to try to change (for example) border-radius on one slide you’ll see padding disappear for all slides and no border radius is applied.

As en experiment I exported the page as a .tco file, spun up a brand new WordPress instance running Pro, and tried to import the .tco file into a new page. I got a message saying the template had been successfully uploaded, but I coiuldn’t see the file anywhere in the template library. Would you like me to send you the .tco file?

Hey @KEXINO,

After making the padding changes, save the page ad reload it.

Be advise that the slider needs to initialize and adjust the width to display each inline slides.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I’ll try this,

Can you tell me why this is happening? What happened after upgrading from X to Pro that has resulted in this workaround?

Hey @KEXINO,

I could not tell what happen here. I will continue to investigate this issue and forward this to out developers for them to be aware of the issue. Meanwhile, clone your site in a stagong area and we can continue troubleshoot as well.

Thanks.
