How can I increase the “counter” element number each time someone clicks a link?

The Counter element is not coded to have such a functionality out of the box and even if we give you the Javascript code which adds the counter it will not save if you reload the page.
There is no place to add this in the database. You will need to seek other 3rd party plugins to have such a functionality.
