We are having an issue with the M.E. Calendar. The featured images are sometimes showing in a 1x1 format and other times showing in a 16x9 format. We would like to force them to always show in a 16x9 format.
We are using a shortcode to display the events, it is List View > Standard.

Thanks for writing in! That is because the uploaded image is not larger than the Large image size of the media. Your image is just 720x405 and the Large image size is at least 1024x1024 pixels.

We have tried multiple sizes and it is still inconsistent. Is there a way to force the image ratio it shows? We changed both of those images to the same size as the Flourish parties image and it still shows in a 1x1.
For example I made this photo 600x388 and it is still showing as a square.

This may happen when you upload the image before you have installed or activated the event plugin. You can simply run the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to make sure the the image sizes are regenerated which fits the right size need by the plugin,
