Wishing to include an image within a popover shortcode, could you please give me the correct procedure?

Regretfully. Popovers & Tooltips shortcode only supports text so you can’t add an image in there.
You would need to find another popover plugin that supports images.

I’m sorry the answer in that thread is not correct. This concern was raised in the past. Please see Lely’s response in this old thread: https://theme.co/apex/forums/topic/html-doesnt-work-in-popovers/
Lely must have forgotten that HTML is not accepted in shortcode attributes and maybe she thought our development team marked this as a bug but it wasn’t and it was closed without feedback because it’s not supported.
You will need to find a custom or third party solution for this.
