Importing sliders, importing templates not working

Hey there,
I’am having serious problems, for the first time ever, the pro theme is going nuts. Nothing works as it should, while I’am moving a page
please have a look.

  1. Importing the home template on the page home
  2. importing the revolution slider

Hi @zerotoone.de,

Do you mind providing us the admin login of the site where you exported it from.

I tried importing the slider and it did import but it has only slide.

Thanks

Hello @zerotoone.de,

Thanks for providing the information. I have logged in and edited your homepage. I simply disabled/enabled the Slider Settings Below Masthead and assigned the correct Hero slider. The homepage is displaying now.

Please check your site.

As I said: this is not the whole slider: the issue is that only one image is imported, not the whole slider with text and the other slides!
please fix it.

Just look at the slider that should be exported and then at the slider that got imported. they are completely different
thanks for your help

Hi @zerotoone.de,

Would you mind providing your FTP login credentials as well? This seems to be a host related issue and not related to the theme or slider. The uploading seems fast and okay, it freezes once it starts installing then the admin-ajax returns 404 error and then redirect back. The admin ajax is Wordpress feature and shouldn’t return 404 unless the site has some sort of security that blocks it. We’ll check the logs through the FTP first.

Thanks!

added it to the secure note. thank you

Hello @zerotoone.de,

I have investigated the issue and it seems that this is not because of the plugin. It seems that this is because of your server configuration settings. To prove that, I have downloaded your slider and imported it to our testing server. The import goes well and it displays in our testing server as shown below:

Comparing it to your site, when you import the slider, it takes too long to upload and it sometimes gives you an error:

If you have other staging URL using a different host, you might check and test the upload of this slider. The issue here lies with your server settings. You might have downtime or the upload max size allowed by your host is lower. You will have to increase it to at least 64MB.

This link might help:

Please let us know how it goes.

Thank you. I will try it and will let you know how it goes

still the same problem and its not the only problem this happens when I try to visit the site http://prntscr.com/nzhpyl

Hi @zerotoone.de,

That’s because the slider no longer there and deleted (no record). But one thing I noticed, once it is uploaded and freezes, the FTP connection freezes as well. Perhaps it’s temporarily blocking all requests from one user? Could you try moving your site into another staging for testing and comparison? There is no error log since there is no error, as the site only blocks them.

Thanks!

What about importing the slider template manually, simply put the file in the mask correct folder via ftp?

But what about the other issue with I’m having. The website is not displayed, that’s a big issue

Hello @zerotoone.de,

The record not found can be fixed by editing the paged and deactivate/activate the slider in the Slider Settings: Below Masthead meta option of the page. I is fixed now.

Meanwhile, I tested your slider revolution again and still, the upload is so slow and has encountered an error which resulted to a broken imported slider. You need to fixed server settings because there is no other way to import the slider. It cannot be imported manually.

Hope this helps.

I removed some of the slides, that did the trick. however the navigation bullet style was not imported correctly
and changes to the bullet style in settings of the slider do not apply

Hello @zerotoone.de,

Glad you made progress on this. I have check and it seems the same to me. Here is what I am seeing: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cq1Xj0TzUX
Can you be more specific how should it be or which part is not as intended? It seems the same to me when I compare.

Hello There,

I can see it is now the same position, size and style. For position you have this custom CSS on Cornerstone custom CSS:

.tp-tabs,.tp-thumbs,.tp-bullets{
   right:64px !important;
   left:auto !important;
}

Regarding bullet size, I can see it is now adjusted from 10px to 6px right now.

If you do have any other questions, please do open a new thread. Thanks.

thank you I got it, there was some custom css that was not imported

You’re always welcome @zerotoone.de!

Cheers.
