Import header template issue

Hello everybody,
I am having issues importing an header template I have previously saved and exported from another website. The file I am trying to import in the template manager is named “header.tco”.
When I upload it from my computer the upload starts and at some point it stops and an error message appears saying: “Sorry! Your file is not properly formatted.”
I have already imported a content template successfully and it’s working great, it looks like I am experiencing issues only with this header template.
What can I do?
Thank you very much

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! Is it possible to upload your sample template, so that we can test on our end as well. You can use a service like this to upload and share your file (https://uploadfiles.io/).

Thanks!

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

Please find the header template I’m trying to upload on the template manager at the link on the note

Thanks again

Hello @Damn_Brick,

Thanks for asking.

I think there is some issues with the header template as on my end I am getting Uh oh! Sorry! Your file is not properly formatted.. Here is a screencast. https://cl.ly/3I1X2S3B071k

Thanks.

He already said that there’s an issue, I think he wants help figuring out why it is happening.

Im having the same issue but with a content template. I have downloaded the file straight from the pro builder (save template > downloaded to computer). Everytime I try to upload that file, I get the same issue. I’ve tested other templates and downloaded/uploaded them and none are giving me issues. What is the resolution to this?

Thank you… yes I am getting that message too… I tried to export that template with different names but I still get that message and it happens only with that specific header template… what can I do to solve the issue? Is it due to some specific features I have used in the template? I exported exactly as I did with others that are working.
Thanks again

Sorry to hear that but I’m glad I’m not the only one getting this error, I thought there was something wrong in what I was doing with my template

Hi,

We have forwarded this as a bug to our web development team.

Kindly stay tuned for updates.

Thanks

You are welcome

Is there any follow up to this. I am uploading the templates but they are not showing up for customization. Please advise.

Hi @Vandana,

Regretfully, we still don’t have an ETA for the update that should address this issue. I’ll keep this thread updated when I have more information.

It would be great also if you can open a new support thread with a detailed description of the issue you are facing right now, so we can double check if that is related to this issue discussed here or not.

Thanks.

I am having the exact same issue as @zdabas

I am having the exact same issue.

I have not tried new templates through but perhaps I should try that?

Seems strange that the X templates do not work though?

Hey There,

Thanks for updating in! Kindly zip your template file, upload it in dropbox and send us a link so that we can test your template in our local installation.

Or maybe you can give us access to the site and provide us the url of the page in question so that we can download or upload a sample template in your site as well.

Please let us know how it goes.

If this can help I tried again to import my header template with no luck… I also tried to import some presets I used in that template and some of them are working while others still give the same error message while importing… Those that are not importing correctly contain some custom CSS I wrote, can this be the cause?
I really hope we can find out a solution because at the moment I have to build the header again from scratch
Thank you very much

Hi there,

It’s known issue and it’s already added to our issue tracker. Saving a page content as template should work, but importing templates will not. And even if it’s successful, there is also a chance that it’s not going to be listed on template drop down in the builder.

The temporary solution for now is manually create the content and save it as a template.

Thanks!

I don’t think my issue is the same. I imported all the sample templates, and would like to use the logo centered header template, but the only options on my Use Template dropdown are Fixed Left, Fixed Right and Hero. I have the 7 Starter Header templates showing in my Template Manager, and 1 (Adventure Ten) that I imported.

What do I need to do to get all my Header templates available in my header builder?

Never mind. Duh - have to scroll through the templates.

Glad you’ve sorted it out.
