On the page I created with visual composer, the images don’t show on smartphone only…desktop is fine. Phone displays shortcodes instead. https://everythingit.us (home page)
the " " are all wrong…they are leaning to the right (kind of italic)…they need to be straight (not sure how to explain this)
I’m a programmer, so explanation is fine. I’ll check it out. But I don’t understand why it would only affect the phone display, and not the development screen, and not desktop or laptop actual displays, only the phone…but I’ll check the quotes. And not only that, but why would they be crooked in the first place, since I used the composer to do the layout…I didn’t copy and paste anything, I didn’t “type” any URLS, they are all inserted from WordPress media manager directly by the system…so they should not be wrong. Stupid drag n drop crap is supposed to make it faster, all it does is mess things up.
EDIT -POST CHECK
OK, I checked the quotes, and in the wordpress editing (classic mode/text) they are all FINE. So maybe you could be kind enough to tell me “which” quotes you found that were not straight quotes, and what environment you saw them in? Because I can not find them…
Do you even work for Themeco? I thought this was a support forum…I don’t have time for “guesses”. Geez …so if you do work for them, you can see my code below, if not, I guess you can’t. I need a theme developer response here!
Hey there,
Your site displays fine on my phone. All images are displayed. I noticed though that the view is different during the first few seconds your site is loading. It looks like the view or display was controlled by a mobile plugin. Are you using such a plugin like WP Touch? Please deactivate all your third party plugins, clear all caches including your browser cache then check again.
Thanks.
I got tired of waiting. I realized Visual Composer was not the preferred development environment for your theme, so I built a new page with Cornerstone. It’s a little harder to learn, but it came out alright I guess.
In answer to your question though, I do not have WP-Touch, no. But I’d be happy to give you a list of plugins if you think you can tell which one might possibly cause a conflict. I don’t like to disable all of them, because I only enable ones that are being used, and they all have settings configured I don’t want to mess up.
I’ll try to attach it in a moment. Yes, before all that showed on the phone was shortcodes for images. And everything was built within the environment, nothing was typed or pasted, so the quotes were fine.
I also saw an error, just once, on my phone view this AM, said something about having an extra JQuery or javscript file loading after rev slider? Is that ringing any bells?
Try deactivating Jetpack mobile theme https://jetpack.com/support/mobile-theme/. It is similar to WP Touch.
Thanks.
Now THAT I can do. Jetpack’s only usefulness over time is that it monitors my sites uptime. I’ll try. Thanks.
Now that I read your response again…you know, I don’t think I use that module. I use very few of them actually. But I’ll check. Thanks again.
Oh wow, I did have that on…I think I got rid of the page. I’m going to try it again and see if that was the issue cause now I’m curious.
Hi,
Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks
