Images don't show properly on mobile

I don’t understand what has gone wrong here -
on a mobile the images are really squished up and you can’t see them all properly.

also, when the page loads you get a flash while the top picture loads up. It is small enough, is there something I can change to make it look better?

It seems that you have used the image in column background I would recommend you to set the column padding-top and padding-bottom in VW uint. The padding-top and padding-bottom value would be around 40VW. Please set the padding value as per your design.
