Image Title Attribute

Hello, I have a problem with the title attribute and cornerstone. I can enter the alt attribute in cornerstone but not the title attribute. These attributes are also not taken from the library. Why not? This works in any free theme! Instead, completely nonsensical title attributes are displayed when I hover over an image (See attached image). Am I doing something wrong here? Or is this basic functionality just not there?

Unfortunately, adding the title attribute to the image element is not possible. I will add this as a feature request, so it might be taken into account in the future.

Hello @tristup, it is incomprehensible why this does not work. It works with every other theme, but not with such a modern and advanced theme? Tooltips are still displayed, but the X theme assigns the names itself on the basis of the page title and then numbers them consecutively, as you can see in the attached image. You can’t seem to switch off the title attributes on the other side either. It looks like a bug to me.

Hello Peter,

When adding the Image element to your page, there is a provided field for the ALT text.

If you want to add a Title attribute, you can do it by going to the “Customize” option of the Image element settings and adding the title as a custom attribute.

It should display the title attribute on the frontend like this when you hover over the image:

Hello Rue, thank you very much! At first it didn’t work. I then thought it might be due to a plugin. I deactivated all of them and turned them on again one after the other. It was my Rank Math SEO plugin. There is a button under the Images tab that you can use to activate automatic TITLE attributes. This was switched on, which was also the error. I switched it off and now everything works as desired. Thanks again and have a nice weekend!
