Image Optimization - Download - Upload

Hi there - We are working on improving our sites performance. Many of our images are not optimized. For example the file size is 150 KB or larger. There is a image optimization service which can download all our images, then optimize them. Then they upload them back to the website. Given that we are using X and Cornerstone, I wasnt sure whether doing this would cause an issue with the site. We do have a staging site the service can test the process out on. Thanks

Hi Tim,

Thanks for writing in! If you replace your images to the same file path, in same file format (for example .jpg, .png etc) and using the same file name, it should work as expected. It’s always better to test your changes in a staging area and then you can implement your changes into your live site.
