Image Mapping?

WHAT I WANT TO DO/WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR: I want some type of image map function, where I can either build an image and assign different links to different areas in the image or just upload a single image and assign different outbound links to different areas of the image. Does PRO have this option under a template or an element I can add to a post? Or do I need to install a plugin? Do you know of any plugins that are compatible with the latest version of PRO, if needed?

When I converted from X to PRO, I thought I remember reading that with PRO I would no longer be using Cornerstone to edit blog posts. I remember with X, they said they preferred cornerstone to “Visual Composer.” What should I be using NOW to visually edit all my blog post content? Right now I do not have visual composer activated. Should I switch that? --EDIT: I figured out I need to turn the option on for posts under settings.

Hi @kleins99,

Thanks for reaching out.

The image mapping isn’t possible with Pro or Cornerstone, but you can install 3rd party plugin such as this.

https://wordpress.org/plugins/tags/image-map/

I’m not sure about their compatibility, but as long as it generates valid HTML code for image map then it should work.

And there is no need for cornerstone once you activate the Pro theme, but it still needed if you use X theme. And glad you’re able to edit them now.

Thanks!
