When adding images to the Text Element, I have the ability to link to the source file (media file). So if I have an image such as a map that I want to display smaller on a page, but give the user the ability to view it full size he can click the image and it will open the map full size where the detail can be seen. I would like to use the Image Element to make my site more uniform and be able to use templates more efficiently. However, I cannot find that same option in the Image Element. Is there a way to do this through the Image Element?

Thank you for writing in, yes that is possible, on the Image Element just right before you insert the image to post/page copy the image file URL.
Then enable the Link option of the Image element and paste the image URL on the URL field

So I will still have to do that for each image. Is there a way to reference the source instead? That way if I have an image placeholder in my template, it will work for any image I insert.

Regretfully, there’s no option to do that. You need to manually add the link to all the images you want to have a link.
