I'm just getting started and I'm already confused... how do I start with a blank slate?

I found the answer to my original question, which was “How do I start with a blank slate?”

Solution if you want a page with a Header, complete blank space in the middle, and a Footer at the bottom… with no trace of Wordpress default nonsense.

WITHIN PRO

Go to Pro - Content

Click the + button

On the Page Template menu, select “Blank - No Container | Header, Footer”.

Give your page a name and such and click CREATE.

USING WORDPRESS DIRECTLY (more steps)

In Wordpress go to Pages.

Then “Add New” page. You can call it, for example, “Main Page”

After it’s added, click on Main Page to edit it.

Now go to the top right, just under your username, and click on the Gear Icon. Then scroll down a bit to the Page Attributes area. On the Template menu, select “Blank - No Container | Header, Footer”.

Next, in the big middle area of the screen, scroll down until you see Page Settings. There will be a label “Disable Page Title”. Make sure this is CHECKED.

Click the blue Update button in the top right to save the changes to your page.

Now go to Pro - Content, click on your Main Page. You should see a blank white page with none of the normal Wordpress stuff appearing. Now you can start building your Pro site from scratch.

Hi Ben,

No worries. We are here to help.

1.) Setup homepage. On admin, go to Pages > Add New. Create 2 Pages. One is homepage, the other is blog.
2.) Go to Settings > Reading. Set your home page and blog like below:

With that steps, you can edit your homepage now using the PRO content builder. On the other hand, by default, once you set Blog as post page, it’s design is controlled by a template based on the stack you have chosen from Theme Options

Hi Ben,

It should be there by default unless it was disabled by a custom code or a plugin. Can you share credentials inside a secure note so we can see the setup? Thank you.

Hi Ben,

Please choose a BLANK NO CONTAINER page template.

Hi Ben,

Please make sure you do have admininistrator rights. Then on Pro Settings, make sure the following are set to ON:

Hi Ben,

Unfortunately, I can’t access your site. When I tried to access the URL, it says page not working. Please double check if the URL is correct.

Hi Ben,

Thank you for the detailed information. Those are not coming from the theme. They are available by default when you install a wordpress. All wordpress install comes with those details. We only reset it using Theme Options

If you don’t want a sidebar, please go to Pro > Theme Options > Layout and Design: Content Layout: Choose fullwidth

Then as suggested earlier, go to Settings > Reading. Set homepage and blog page accordingly

Hi Ben,

Yes, that is correct.
