Icons in Revolution Slider disappeared after updating Wordpress, x and cornerstone

Hi,

I just updated Wordpress, x and cornerstone. Afterwards some icons I placed in several sliders have disappeared.

This happened before I updated the revolution slider. The update of the revolution slider plugin did not help as well.

I already disabled all third party plugins - one after the other, and all at the same time. This did not help either.

I am using wp fastest cache. Disabling it and also disabling the minifying options for css and js did not change anything.

In the theme options the font awesome icons are all enabled.

Strangely all the icons are visible in the backend of revolution slider.

I hope, you know a solution for this.

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards.

Ingo

Hi Ingo,

Thank you for writing in, but I could not figure out which of your site is having the issue, please provide us the URL and login credentials in a secure note so we can take a closer look.

Please clear all your caching plugins/features. Just deactivating it does not always mean the cache is cleared.

Thanks,

Hi friech,

I added a secure note.

And thanks for the hint. I already deleted the cache before deactivating the plugin.

Kind regards
Ingo

Hello Ingo,

Thanks for providing the details.

This could be a compatibility issue since the current supported version of Rev Slider for X 7.2.2 is 6.2.1. We recommend our users to use the supported version for bundled plugins because we will be sure that everything is supported since we have done the testing on our end.

You can find the list of supported versions here:

Kindly try to downgrade your version of Rev Slider to the supported version and make sure to clear your cache.

Please also try try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes.

Hey Jade,

thanks for your response.

None of the suggested steps did work…

If you have any other ideas, please let me know.

Kind regards.
Ingo

Hello Ingo,

The issue has occurred because of our SSL setup. I went ahead and fixed your SSL settings. The icons should be displaying now.

Please check your site now.

Hi,

unfortunately nothing has changed. I cleared the cache and disabled plugins.

But the icons still don’t show on frontend.

Kind regards.

Ingo

Hi Ingo,

Would you mind providing a screenshot of what you’re seeing versus another screenshot of what’s being displayed in admin preview? I’ve been comparing and looks the same on both preview and actual slider, perhaps I’m missing something.

I also recommend trying it on browser private mode.

Thanks!
