Hi!

The icons on my site randomly broke! http://uofmktg.com

I’ve checked on multiple browsers, and it looks like they look different on each one:

I’ve cleared my site cache with W3 Total Cache, I’ve cleared my browser cache, and nothing appears to be working! Plz halp!

Hi,

We updated FontAwesome with the latest release. Version 5 required changes to the markup, CSS, and the file location changed.

I checked and I can see you don’t have child theme active. So it probably a cache issue, do you have any other cache plugin installed besides w3 total cache? Try to clear plugin cache again then deactivate it.

If that doesn’t help, please provide wordpress admin login in Secure Note

Just added that secure note! I did not have another caching plugin, but I followed your instructions with W3 Total Cache.

Hi Tim,

Your site is having a cross-origin issue



That means your site is now live (http://uofmktg.com/) but still requesting resources from the temporary domain (http://box5542.temp.domains), hows this site migrated?

I see on the Settings > General it’s still set to temporary domain.

Please follow the suggestion provided here.

Purge your Endurance Cache after.

So I just adjusted the urls under “General Settings” to http://uofmktg.com, and it appears to have fixed everything. Will this work or do I need to follow the full instructions?

I setup my site through BlueHost and haven’t made any changes beyond that. And, unfortunately, I have to confess that I’m not a developer (though I can get around code a little).
