Icons automatically included in widget area/navigation menu

how do I edit the sidebar/widget so that the menu doesnt include icons for each list item?

To get rid of the icon I would suggest you please add this custom CSS code to the Global CSS.

.widget_nav_menu .x-framework-icon, .widget_nav_menu .x-framework-icon-menu{display:none;}
