Icon Simple Menu

I am creating a site with a fairly large menu structure. I have styled this using a menu accordion which manages this. Is there anyway that this can be used in place of the existing menu styling? Otherwise is it possible to switch off the existing menu, and then I could create a page template with a column for the menu.

Thanks for any advice

Alex

I see that I can create a custom left hand menu and add content area with the accordion shortcake.

IS that the way to do it and will its work?

Alex

Hi Alex,

For large menu or megamenu, we usually recommend Ubermenu. It can handle megamenu columns better. The integration is simple too and it is responsive.

Although, there’s no definite way of doing things. Pro is tool that will enable you to achieve the design that you want. Any approach is fine as long as you can make it work.

Hi Lely
Thanks for your response. I have got the left hand menu working OK, but I cannot work out how set up the Navigation Collapsed for the left and menu. Is there a KB article?

Many thanks

Alex

Hi Alex,

Sorry but I am not entirely certain of your issue, all elements works the same way regardless of bar orientation (well navigation collapse and layer wont have a toggle), would you mind to clarify your issue?

Yeah, that should work, just make sure you enable the Content Scrolling option of the left bar if you have a lot of accordion items (content)

Cheers!

Apologies for not making myself clear, and thank you for your help
at https://staging.modburyteam.org. I have an accordion menu on the left hand side, which I set up using the Pro Header features.

What I am trying to achieve, is that if the page is viewed on a mobile device, the menu appears using the off canvas feature and by clicking on the button.

I have set up a second container and into that I have added the off canvas feature, and I have disabled this if being view on a laptop/desktop. However when I view on a mobile device, I am not seeing the button to trigger the off canvas item to be displayed.

I am assuming that this is how menus work on a mobile device

Very many thanks

Alex

Hello Alex,

Thank you for the clarifications. Please edit your custom header and make sure that it is visible in all of the device screens. At the moment, your Fixed Left Bar is only visible in large and medium screens. Please do not hide it in smaller screens so that the modal toggle icon will display.
