I would like sidebar only on front page

Hi there, I’ve got in muddle over sidebars. I am creating a site where I only want the sidebar on front page (and possibly one other - about but I could live without that). I don’t want it on any other pages. I don’t have a blog page set as I am using a post grid shortcode on a couple of pages. .

Can you help me to get my thoughts in order so I have a sidebar on home page? Thank you so much, Kate

Hello @toolboxkate,

Thanks for writing to us.

To have a sidebar on the page you need to go to the Theme Options —>Layout and Design—>Content Layout -->Set the Content/Sidebar.

Theme-Options-Pro (11)

Now you need to set the template a Default or Layout - Content Left, Sidebar Right template. Please note the theme options settings would be applicable globally. If you don’t want sidebar to any specific page you need to set the page template as Blank - No Container | Header, Footer.

Hope it helps
Thanks

Hi there, thanks so much. I put my question really badly - my fault entirely sorry. I kind of need the reverse. I need to be able to have it set as you have said with content left , sidebar right BUT I need to be able to have a Blank - No Container | Header, Footer. on all BLOG posts. Is this possible. I can only see default or slider format. Is there a way to do this to set it on any “post” as blank no container / header footer? If I can do that I’m sorted  Thanks a million.

Hi @toolboxkate,

You can have the option with Sidebar/Content in the Content Layout as shown in the following screenshot.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hi there thanks. I just realised there is a “full width post layout” underneath in edit page mode. So all sorted. Thank you.
