I use X 6.5.5 migrated 5 websites from GoDaddy Developer to Pro 5 and now cannot edit text

The Old Developer had PHP 5.6 (X text editor worked) and was migrated to PHP 7.2 and now I cannot edit text. Please help. Paid customer sites I have and need to edit.

Hi @SDAMarketing,

Thanks for reaching out.

It appears updated and I don’t see any issue from the front. I see no cache either, but seems the URL are still served from development URL. It might not be due to PHP version but caused by the process of migrating from dev to production. Would you mind providing both your admin login credentials for both dev and live site?

For the meantime, please install Better Search Replace plugin and replace https://secureservercdn.net/166.62.108.43/dn3.6f6.myftpupload.com/wp-content/ and https/dn3.6f6.myftpupload.com/wp-content/ with https://session1media.com/wp-content/ from all database tables.

Thanks!

I am having this exact same issue with GoDaddy on several sites that I just migrated. I’m interested to see what your solution is. I wonder if this means not being able to utilize their CDN feature also?

FYI - I deactivated CDN in the hosting account on my site and Cornerstone now seems to work, but it is annoying that all of the media files are linked to the development URL instead of the domain.

Hi @noizepro,

That means the migration process did not go well. Please install a Better Search Replace plugin, and do the 2 steps below, but please, just to play safe keep a backup of your database first.

replace development-url.com -> live-url.com

Then clear all your caching features after.

Thanks,
