I just installed woocommerce plugin and setup. shop having 403 error

I just installed woocommerce plugin and setup, I getting 403 error in my shop page.
Other pages are fine, I tried to disable all other plugins and also change back to default theme.
Problem still there, I am out of ideas.

How do I solve it?

Hi there,

Please login to FTP and edit the wp-config.php file then find the line define( 'WP_DEBUG', false ); then set it to true.

Go back to the shop page and it should display some errors. It should give you some ideas what is causing the issue. Please also try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If you are not able to get it sorted, please post the error here or provide us with your FTP details.

Thank you.

Thanks for giving me some direction.

I edited the wp-config.php file from define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, false ); to true.

I deactivated all plugin except for woocommerce

and still show’s 403 error.

Hi There,

I’ve switched back to Twenty Seventeen theme, turned off all plugins except WooCommerce and the issue still occurs.

I also tried all solutions on this link but still no luck: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-403-forbidden-error-in-wordpress/.

Could you please contact your hosting provider about this issue? I guess there is a problem with the file permission.

Let us know how it goes!
