I cannot see Logo image on my site although I added it via customizer -header (where I can see it)

Dear team:

I am trying to use an image for my logo in the header section of my site. However, when I pick an image to be added into the corresponding section of customizer - header I am shown that the image has been added in the customizer sidebar, but it does not show on my site in the header section. Although this task seems super straight forward, it does not work for me. What am I missing?

Thanks for your help & kind regards,
Peri

Hi Peri,

Thank you for writing in, please navigate to X > Theme Options > Header instead and set the Logo in there.

Remember to clear all caches (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after you change the logo

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

Hi @friech:

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I tried as suggested and the logo is visible for 1 second then disappears again. I really don’t understand why. Any ideas why it is only visible for a second and then disappears again?

Thank you so much!
Best!

Hi There,

It could be a custom JS that hides your logo images. Do you have any custom JS in your website?

Please try testing a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If it doesn’t help, would you mind providing us with login credentials(by clicking on the Secure Note button at the bottom) so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

  • Link login to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password

Thanks.

Hi Peri,

Thank you for the credentials, I don’t see an image added to the page source, I’d like to check your Theme Options but the credentials you provided did not work. Please check.

In the meantime, please clear and deactivate your WP Super Cache plugin, and do a testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Cheers!

Hey @perisoylu,

Is this your logo?

Looks like there’s some JS that adds display: none to the logo (see https://youtu.be/mQvLK8n6t3k). Please remove all customizations if this is not caused by third party plugins.

Thanks.

Dear team:
Thanks for response.
Help! I tried removing customisations to nav bar one by one to see whether that will make a difference and now my background image on homepage is gone - well it is not gone but I cannot see it on the site anymore. And the logo is still not displayed either…

Thanks & best,

And: The CSS window looks different now. I used to see a black bg and line numbers, now I the option that I sent to you in the screenshot.

Update: With the x theme update my background appeared again, hallelujah! However, logo image is still not displayed.

Hi there: I found the problem - it actually was a plugin (click to tweet) that interfered with displaying my logo. Thanks for your help.

Hey There,

It’s good to know that a plugin is causing the issue and that is resolved now already.
If you need anything else we can help you with, don’t hesitate to open another thread.

Thank you so much!
