I cannot edit in text format, only in visual format?

I went to check my post in text format and everything was blank. If I hit the visual format tab everything was there.
What the heck happened?

Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • Pro theme 2.4.5
  • X theme 6.4.5
  • Cornerstone 3.4.5
  • WordPress 5.0.2

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

I have all the updates. I am not using the Wordpress 5.02 editor, only use the Classic Editor. I did clear my cache and no change.
I have another site using X theme and no problem with that site?

I have logged in and investigated the issue. This seems to be a conflict between WordPress 5.0.2 and Classic Editor plugin. Since this is a 3rd party plugin, you may need to contact the creators of this plugin to let them know about this issue. Meanwhile, you can disable the plugin and work out with the default WordPress editor.

Under normal circumstances I would agree, however, I am using the Classic editor on wokowner.com and using X Theme and I can use the Text editor there. I have the same plugins on both sites, both using X Theme.
I had a lot of problems that I could not fix with Gutenburg so that is why I started to use Classic Editor. I think they release the new version of WP too soon.

I switched to Gutenburg and cannot see where the tab is to edit in the Text mode. There is NO text button. Gees, I hate this.

You mean the Edit as HTML? Please click More Options Toggle and see the Edit as HTML. If you don’t see that toggle, please click on your content first.

That other site has a different version of X (6.4.2), please update that to the latest version as you have already updated the Cornerstone on that site.

Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

There is also another issue with the Classic editor with Yoast SEO analyzer, we advise to deactivate that plugin for now.

Thank you for your help. I deactivated Yoast and left Classic editor active. Now it works. Ya gotta love technology. I did update X Theme
