Hyperlink Footer Container

Please see attached images. I cannot seem to find a way to add an image file to a footer container, change the image on hover and hyperlink the image to an outside website. Adding a div element to the container, allows me to hyperlink the div. However, adding a background image to the div with CSS seems to appear correctly in the Cornerstone builder preview, but does not show up on the front end.

I tried this idea that I found here on the forum at Rollover/Hover Image Change with Link. However, this does not work and when you hover the image, nothing appears, as setting the Interaction to 0 opacity makes the entire div disappear, not just the top image.

Any thoughts you may have to resolve this issue will be appreciated.

The issue has been resolved. It was my misunderstanding. When I initially read the previous post in the forum, I took it to mean I should use the “advanced” background image option to add an upper and a lower image. However, I soon figured out to simply add two images, on on top of the other through Absolute positioning.

Thank you for leading me to the solution.
