Https flipping to http after upgrade

Hello you amazing support team!
We have been on https for over a year now and after this last upgrade it is reverting to http when I open the page to edit with PRO. I have read through the forum here and the one thing I see that I have never seen before is this:

rewrite http://www.myurl.com -> https://www.myurl.com (that we have done multiple times)

But this, what does this mean below?? What is the “//” part achieving?? I googled it but cannot seem to isolate what that is and why it is mentioned in the forum many times.

Thanks for asking.

If in backend or Cornerstone is using HTTP address then there might be the case URL protocol got changed. Please make sure that under Settings > General > WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) uses HTTPS.

It has been https for a year now. Those settings have been https that whole time. It is just this last update that now when I open pages I have not opened for awhile that is reverting them back to http and need to reinsert all images. Which is a ton as this is an artist community.

What does that refer to handling?? What is the // part of that???

**And again, it is reverting when I open to edit the page or course with PRO. It is secure before I open to edit.

That is a escape character. For more details, please check this wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escape_character

By the way, do you have any SSL plugin? If not then, Pro editor should be using the settings you have in Settings > General > Site URL. If you have set this to https already for quite some time, there must be a function, line of code or a plugin that changed it. Would you mind sharing some login details to your site so that we can take a closer look?
