How/where do you add a unique link for each Portfolio item on Essential Grid?

Hi There,

You should use the Portfolio items as a source to your grid and choose skin which fits the purpose.

If that does not help, please provide more details about what link you are referring to.

I did and the the Portfolio Images do show on my grid, but the unique url I have for each Image does not work on the skin when you hover and click on the link icon- so how to get that to register? I have it setup for Link/SEO as: Add link to: Cover/ Link to: Meta/ Meta Key: eg-custom-link.

Hello There,

Did you supplied each custom link in your portfolio item? It can be found in the custom meta field with eg-custom-link since this is the one you used in the skin. You will have to edit each of the portfolio item and must supply the custom link.

That’s what I did and it only open the image on a new page, not the link that I added.

Is there another way? Last time I gave you guys my credentials I got locked out of my account. You can look here and see that none of the links direct where they are supposed to, it just opens a new page with the image, not to the article it relates to: http://skparfait.com/travelportfolio/

Hi there,

Since this requires checking your grid skins, then we would really need your login credentials. If you’re not comfortable with that then you may clone your site into staging (sub-domain or sub-folder). Then we’ll check it there.

Hello There,

We well just make a hit and miss resolution since we cannot check any of your settings. Could you please provide the url of the page where we can find this essential grid? Could you also send us the screenshot of the a portfolio item where you have inserted a custom link? You may edit one of the portfolio item and take a screenshot.

Another thing, please create another grid using the same skin and display posts in it. The skin may not be working with portfolio items and it may work with posts. This is needed to compare how the skin works between the posts and the portfolio items.
