How to use Parallax? Upper Layer vs. Lower Layer--what are they?

Hello,

I’ve searched the KB and Google. I cannot find any information on what upper layers and lower layers are in the new X.

I’ve tried setting parallax and it’s a huge guessing game.

I’ve tried no image in the upper layer and a bg image in the lower layer. As soon as I select lower layer for the parallax effect the image disappears and is replaced with a with a white bg color.

With the image in the lower layer, if I select upper layer parallax, I can still see the image but there is no parallax effect.

I’ve tried adding the same image in both upper and lower layers and selecting both for parallax. Nothing works.

Could you please add hover instructions in these new areas since it isn’t covered in the KB?

And what is an upper layer? What is a lower layer?

Why do Classic Section parallax images work on the same pages where new sections have no ability to get parallax sections working no matter how many times I guess and save and try another guess and save and try another guess and save and…

More important–how do I get a new section to use the parallax effect for a BG image in the section when neither of the mystery upper layer lower layer parallax checkboxes work?

Hi There,

Lower layer is at the back and upper layer is on the front. See this: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cb6O6BIScN. See how the content text and the upper background image covers up the parallax lower background image as I scroll down.

Please check if there is error on the console. Right Click > Inspect element > Choose Console Tab: See if there’s any error. If there’s none can you share us the URL where you want to implement this parallax effect so we can check?
