How to update to X 7

Hello, how can I update X to version 7? I bought a new license for the updated version but there’s no option to update or upload a new version into WP. Thanks

Hello Nathan,

Thanks for writing in! Please make sure that you have validated the X theme. You can then go to Appearance > Themes, click the X theme and then find the “Update Now” link.

Or, you may also go to Dashboard > Updates and update the theme or plugin that needs to be updated.

Thank you. I see that option there so I will run it but read in different threads that this latest update to X break WooCommerce. Has that been addressed already?

Also I see a line of code on this page. Did you already updated to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • X theme 7.1.2
  • Cornerstone 4.1.2

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

I updated X on my other site and completely broke it. www.cmacoach.com. The entire theme is none existent. How can I fix this ASAP?

Hi Nathan,

You should update both X and Cornerstone. On this site : https://www.cmacoach.com/ you have X 6.5.6 and Cornerstone 4.1.2. Please also update X theme. Since you have Autoptimize, please make sure to regenerate those optimize files after update. Clear cache and then check again.

Hello, we created staging3.cmacoach.com to troubleshoot this. After udpdating X the site broke just like the live site did. I really need help figuring this out. It shouldn’t have to do this. Everything is up to date. Thanks for your hellp.
