How to turn on Light / Dark Mode on the Pro v4+ Control Panel Sidebar

Can’t find a setting for this. I really don’t like working in the new dark mode and am sure I’m not alone… please provide a setting ASAP if one doesn’t already exist! The Integrity stack I’m currently working on is set to light mode though I don’t expect that to have any effect on the issue.

PS - I’m sure there will be a lot to like about this update (like the ability to resize text/css boxes,) but being stuck in dark mode when working on my sites is a drag.

Hi @ajonesx, there is already a setting for this. Look under Preferences > UI Theme. You get to Preferences by clicking the main menu navigation (hamburger icon).

Hi All…

Sorry to be picky, but please ask development to also give users a separate 'preferences>UI ’ option to pick a light or dark mode on the CSS/JS pop-up panels as well… the tan used in the ‘Light’ theme is freaking me out (the old skool black BG is much better.)

Hi there,

I’m sorry, we don’t have a way to split that out at this time, but we’ll keep it in mind. We use the Solarized color palette for the code editors and alternates between light and dark.
