How to scale image properly?

Hi, i have question how to scale image properly? In website i placed 1400x900 images something like that, and it was ok. But google indexed it and ask to resize all these big photos to 683x439 for better results. Now it look really good if talking about results.

BUT

Now on pc image dimentions looks really bad, foto too small for column. Is it possible that in pro theme i can extend image?

Thank you for writing in, Yes it is possible to extend and small image with custom CSS, however, if we stretch a small image it will look blurry. Try optimizing your 1400x900 images instead, you can use this tool, or an image optimizer plugin.

I understand, but how to fix it this error? I cant resize images on pc. If i resize images on mobile or on tablet make smaller just for these devices is it possible that will be ok?
