How To Save Themes?

How do I save my ‘theme options’ before I test out a couple other design cloud ‘templates’?
I’m really still just learning how this all works. I bought the pro package & have been working on this for a week now. I have a rather extensive web site I am beginning to re-build from ground up. I have been trying to build various aspects of the pages to learn wordpress after a decade of using Dreamweaver. I don’t want to lose everything I’ve done so far. Any help would be appreciated. I am thus far really fumbling around in the dark having a difficult time finding any clear instruction on set-up and general site structural rules.
Thank you.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for reaching out.
It is not very clear what exactly you are trying to say here. If you are trying to save the Theme Options, you can do that by clicking into the Save button as shown in the given screenshot.

If that is not the case and you are trying to point out something else, please provide any screenshot marked with the issue or any video that help us to recognize the problem.

Thanks

Good morning Tristup, Sorry I really have two ideas I’m discussing here. First is this issue of how do I ‘backup’ these theme option so I can get them back if I test out this ‘Design Cloud’ site template. Once I can get to the bottom of that, maybe I can ask about my broader approach level questions. Thank you for your time today. -Chris

Hi Chris,

There is no options for taking backup of the Theme Options only, you need to take a backup of your full website.

Thanks

Where is that done?

Hi Chris,

You need to use any of the Backup plugins available in the WordPress repository or you can ask your Hosting Service provider for this.

Thanks

So to be clear there is not option to ‘make a backup of my settings’ Just do a complete backup of the whole site. Meaning there is no way to update just the setting. Is this correct?

Ahha!
Thanks Tristup. I think I’m finding my way to the next step. For anyone else who may read this and is unfamiliar as I am… i dug around a bit more and found a utility called ‘jetpack’ that seems to be running serval performance and analytical function… including backups with selective restore capability. I guess I’ll rely on this.

Hey Chris,

We’re glad that you’re able to find a solution to your issue! If you have any other concerns or clarifications regarding our theme features, feel free to open up a new thread.

Thank you.

I found in your doc where it details how to backup theme options.

Great! Should you need any other information, please do not hesitate to create a new thread.
