How to recreate these full width rows

I’m having trouble recreating full-width rows with different column sizes and text overlays on the bottom of the column

I’m trying to achieve the look on this site: https://www.waldorfastoriabeverlyhills.com/

I don’t care about the roll over animation. Instead, I’m interested in the layout.

My different attempts are not giving me good enough results.

Currently I’m using a background image inside the column, but I’m having trouble placing the the text block on the bottom of the column. Can anyone give me some tips on how to recreate similar rows?

Just add a headline and then unlink the padding. Using em, set the top and left/right padding until the headline shows where you want it.
