How to manage licenses for hosting with pantheon.io with 3 environments: Dev, Stage, &Prod

Hi,

We’re just starting to use X-theme for Wrodpress development for clients and we’re partnering with Panthion.io for hosting.

I understand you offer two environment options per license, but I wonder how we can handle three environments in Pantheon, where we have the option to use Dev, Stage, and Prod environments.

Has three-env support for hosts like Pantheon made it onto your roadmap yet for a product update?

As an alternative, if we were to register the license for Stage and Prod and leave the Dev environment unregistered, would there be any disabled functionality of the Dev site using X-theme, other than the disabled PRO plugin installation?

What other limitations might we encounter with an unregistered copy while working in a Dev environment?

We use Git for code management so installing the theme and all plugins is done manually anyway, so we would need that installer functionality from the X-theme dashboard in WordPress.

Thanks for asking.

1. Development environment and licence: We offer two types of environment, Production and Dev. As generally developers and website designers need two environments one to develop on a dev server and other one to deploy on a production environment. As of now we don’t plan to have a 3rd environment partly because of customer response. However I will have a chat with my team lead regarding this and depending on the customer request we may add into our feature request tracker.
2. There won’t be any issues while running a unvalidated Theme. However, please note that you won’t be able to unlock Automatic Theme updates and bundled plugins installation will be barred. Other then that I don’t think you would face any issues while using Theme.
