Hi there,
Installation of a new font in our theme is not different from other themes and it will need the same process which you would do as a normal WordPress installation.
Here you can find a good getting started guide to add the custom font to your website:
Needless to say that when you want to use the custom fonts you will not have the option of selecting it from the settings of the elements, and you will need to add a CSS class
to your elements and use that class in CSS code to enforce your font to those elements.
Thank you.
Thanks, but I’m still confused. I have a couple of fonts that I’ve downloaded to my laptop’s Font Book. How do I upload these to my site? How do I add a CSS class for the elements?
With Google Fonts & Fonts.com, as the link you provided says to use, it is asking me to pay to download the fonts. I already have them installed on my computer, so I wouldn’t need to pay for them again.
More specific steps would help. Thank you!
Hi there,
For the fonts that you have on your computer, you need to find the TTF or equivalent font type file and make it web compatible. There are free services to do that such as:
For more information about Font Books:
To assign a CSS Class to a Cornerstone element, you will need to go to the element options and click on the CUstomize tab if you use the V2 new elements and there you will see an option called Class:
For the Classic Cornerstone Elements, you can simply scroll down the options to see the Class input box:
For further reading, I did a Google Search which I think it will help you get started with normal process of adding custom fonts to WordPress.
Thank you.
