How to increase the space at the top of posts and Blog Page

I want to increase the space above the blog posts and the individual post on our site. So there is space for the navigation to be viewed prior to scrolling on the page. The navigation is transparent and all post have images it would be more elegant to have a deeper white space prior to the top of the image. See below

To add the space only on the blog page, you need to add the following custom CSS code into the Global CSS.

.blog .x-container
{
    padding-top:65px !important;
}
