this is the single blog layout and i want to display the term / category name of the blog at the top, but some of the blogs are uncategorized, so i just want that if the blog is uncategorized then it will not show .

Thanks for reaching out.
If it is a single post page, that means the posts are listed somewhere, and after clicking on the specific post the single post page shows. You need to remove the post from the list first. Then you can set a condition to the Layout it will show if the post category is not Uncategorized as shown in the given screenshot.
