How to format posts page with The Grid

Hi,

Ive got a blog page which is a collection of posts displayed ideally using The Grid. I have a problem that Im trying to create a header slider/image background before the posts are shown so the posts page is consistent with other pages on the site.

I have the following problems:

1. If I set the blog pages to be the posts page in the Wordpress->Settings->Readingthen all the header image and styling vanishes and the menu becomes invisible (which looks awful).

2. If I create a standard page and dont set that page to be the Posts page in Wordpress->Settings->Reading then manually add the grid shortcode, then the header displays but all the posts are scrunched up and look dreadful.

Can you advise if this is a bug or what I need to do to ensure that theres a visual header to the posts page but the grid displays properly as intended.

Dont worry, Ive worked it out. It doesnt look like the grid works properly if you paste the shortcode in to a text element in Cornerstone (god knows why). It only seems to work properly if you paste the shortcode in to the text when youre in normal edit mode for the page (via the view pages in wordpress).

Again, very odd, unexpected behaviour with Cornerstone.

Hi Will,

Could you try adding it in classic text element? Or raw element. If your grid libraries aren’t set to load globally then it may not work if it’s added within v2 text element since it checks the occurrence of the shortcode where it’s not accessible within v2.
