I was doing some work on my site, and I updated all my plugins and was editing some post pages. Now the editing I had on my classic social share element across my site has been edited, and only shows when it’s hovered over- and the icon still doesn’t show. Only the box shows. How can I fix this globally across my site?

Perhaps there is a custom CSS that is causing the display issue for the social share element. You seem to have a lot of licenses in your account so I am not certain which website is in question.
Is there a chance that you can provide us with the site URL so that we can check it and provide some suggestions?

Do you need the login to check out the backend? Where can I find the settings to edit the styling of that element?

It appears that you are using an older version of the theme. Please be advised that we have released X 6.5.6 and Cornerstone 3.5.5. It is now available in automatic updates. You can now update to this latest version. This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).
After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
