How to edit cornerstone content in a text editor and import it to be edited in cornerstone?

Hi,
A customer of mine has been editing cornerstore content in the text editor for some reason and has been doing this happily for quite some time.

When edited like this the page works, but of course WPML localisation or cornerstone do not work anymore on that page.

I tried copying the content, which looks totally like a collection of cornerstone “shortcodes” to the _cornerstone_data post metadata, but this does not seem to work and when I launch cornerstone it empties the copied content completely and we are left with an empty page.

Is there any way to manually copy the edited content over to cornerstone so it could work? For example saving a template and manually editing it, then loading it?

Hi Riku,

Thank you for reaching out to us. A page built with Cornerstone if edited outside the Cornerstone, the data gets corrupted and serialized data isn’t fixable. One way could be to restore to the previous working backup you may have or you need to re-build the page in Cornerstone.
