How to Display Custom Category Descriptions

Hello, I don’t know if you can help with this or not, but i’m hoping you can.
I installed CPT UI plug-in to create a custom category and post type.

I didn’t want to do this, but unfortunately the last person who built our website used a now defunct plugin that created these custom categories and post types.

To avoid having to lose literally thousands of links and have to create a whole mess of redirects, I used this plugin.

My question… is how can i get category description to display on custom category pages like it does natively on all product category pages?

Heck, i also just realized category descriptions don’t show up on post category archives either. How can I get it to show those as well?

Thank you,

Jesse @ USAT

Hi Jesse,

Thank you for writing in, but regretfully, we cannot provide support for third-party plugins or scripts due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script.

Thank you for your understanding.

Is there anyway to add a new post type that is supported by the X Theme?

Hello Jesse,

Regretfully there isn’t an option in the theme that you can add a custom post type. It will display barely in the theme. You may need to customize or have custom development to fully display what you have in mind. Bear in mind that customization has already been outside the scope of our support. You may need to contact someone to help you.

Note: If you are unfamiliar with code and resolving potential conflicts, you may select our One or Care service for further assistance. We are unable to provide support for customizations under our Support Policy.

Best Regards.
