I am busy with developping a website offline on using XAMP under WIN7.
It happened to me last week that I created a new page under WP5.5. I entered a title and stored the page. Apparently I was too fast on switching to Cornerstone by pressing “Edit with Cornerstone” since for one thing, Cornerstone didn´t start correctly. And when I returned to the dashboard, I noted that Wordpress hadn´t created the new page.
Hence I restarted the procedure, but before calling Cornerstone, I returned to the dashboard to verify whether the page had been created. I started Cornerstone from the page list within the dashboard. All worked perfectly. But on looking at the page list under Cornerstone, I detected the new page twice! Cornerstone had saved the first trial as well! I deleted the new page within the Wordpress dashboard and by consequence, it disappeared as well from Cornerstone. But the firstly created page remained.
So I have now an orphan page listed under Cornerstone which is not visible by WP5.5. This means, I can´t integrate it within the side structure (menus).
Is there a possibility to delete this page from Cornerstone directly? I haven´t found any clue neither in the forum nor in the docs.
Or do I have to take the risk to look into the database (MYSQL) in order to delete the entry there?
Hi André,
Thanks for reaching out.
Regretfully, there is no such option to delete a page from Cornerstone, I would also suggest you take a backup of your database before you try to delete the specific page from the database.
Thanks
OK, I got rid of the orphaned page.
I chose a unique name for the title of the page and then looked for this name in phpMyAdmin. Of course I followed your wise advice to create a backup.
Thank you for your support.
Hi André,
Great that it resolved now.
Thanks
