How to clone a x theme site?

Do you have a guide step by step how to create a clone for staging work of the x theme and all the plugins ? WHich plugin must I use , how i must do it ? which is the correct order of steps,etc. What I must bear in mind ? Must i create a fresh softacolous wordpress installation or that I must do . I am sorry about this question but I have not created any staging website and I wish to do it properly , thanks Kind regards !

It depends on which migration service you’ll be using, if it’s BlogVault service, then all you have to do is backup your site using their service, then FTP credentials for the destination site. The process is automatic so what’s left to do is DNS changes to point your domain to the new nameservers.

Another one is using a migration plugin, it depends on which plugin so you must check their documentation. The simplest and easy is the All in one migration plugin, but since it’s a plugin, Wordpress should be installed on the destination site since you need to activate the plugin. With that process, just import your site as a file (source site) then import it to the desition site (using the same plugin) then the process is also automatic. And again, DNS changes to finalize the process.

With DNS changes, you must contact your hosting provider (destination site). But since you’re only creating a staging, then skip the DNS changes. And if your staging is within your host only, then the term destination site could also be a sub folder or sub-domain.
