How to Change Tab Title in Xthemes?

I’m trying to search for Site Identity within Xthemes to change my tab title .
Seems basic enough to accomplish but apparently not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Please go to Dashboard -> Settings-> General and change your site title and tagline.

Yep hi Basanta, I’m a newcomer to all this so I’ve got a steep learning curve ahead of me. Maybe I didn’t explain it properly. Your suggestion was the first thing I tried before posting . From that I was expecting to see in the title tab a corresponding Guitar Factory School. As it stands nothing has updated or implemented - the title still reads a totally non-semantic - home

Hi there,

To be able to have a control over the browser title you will need to install the YOAST plugin. That will give you a box on each page which you can use to set the proper settings you need for the page.

Also, if you go to the page in question and check the Page Settings you will find an option to set an alternative text instead of the default text for the title:

But I strongly suggest that you stick with the Yoast plugin as you will have much broader control over that aspect of your website.

Thanks Christopher for a speedy response. I have the yoast plug-in installed but really need to spend time to learn how to drive it ! Will definitely take your advice on that as being the way to go .
In the meantime I tried your plan B which was to add an entry in the Alternate Index Title .
I made sure to update but the end result give no change to the title tab ?
I know I’m in trouble when I can’t manage something that on the surface, should be very basic !

Hi there,

I recommend checking Yoast plugin’s documentation as we’re not fully familiar with the 3rd party plugin.

About the alternate title, it’s only applicable for index pages. Still, the SEO Yoast is the best choice for this.
