How to change my existing Layout with 1 License?

Hi There,

i would like to ask, how i can change my existing layout with 1 license, because i like to copy the page and test it on a test URL? I dont want to change the actual site, i need some kind of sandbox for testing. Is there a way?

Hello Lars,

Thanks for posting in! I would recommend that you create a staging site. This is very useful because you can test drive any X updates in the staging area, do the customizations and troubleshooting without disrupting your live site. Once everything is perfect, you can easily and flawlessly proceed the update in the live site. To know how to create a staging area, please check out these articles:


And if you need to validate your staging site, just go to your Apex account (https://theme.co/apex/licenses) and add your staging site url in your license since it allows you to validate two sites (production and staging site) at the same time.
