How to Change Dropdown Menu to On-Click Accordion Style (No Popup)

Hello!!
I’m using the Pro theme with Cornerstone , and I’m looking to adjust how the dropdown menu behaves.

Currently, the submenu items appear in a popup-style dropdown when you hover over the parent menu item. I’d like to change this so that:

• The submenu only appears on click (not hover),
• The submenu drops down inline beneath the parent item (more like an accordion ) rather than appearing as a floating popup.

Is there a built-in way to achieve this in Pro, or would this require custom code or settings in the header builder?

Thanks for writing in! The Dropdown Menu or Dropdown element can be triggered with the hover or click. Kindly check out this screenshot below:

I would highly recommend that you insert a Dropdown element and a Navigation Collapsed element so that you can have an accordion style sub menus which displays when clicked.

Thank you very much for your response — I really appreciate the screenshots!

In my current footer setup, the dropdown doesn’t display the same options as the ones you shared. I’ve attached a screenshot for reference, and you can also view the live footer here: https://juliesandbox.wpengine.com/

In our setup, the transition dropdown is currently showing different types of “Easing” rather than the menu options you’re seeing.

Looking forward to your thoughts on this!

You are using the Navigation Inline. Please replace it with a Navigation Collapse element instead. We would be happy to create a demo and/or check your footer if we can log in. You can create a secure note in your next reply with the following info:
