How to alter gap between post and heading

There is large gap between my menu bar and blog posts in Cornerstone 2.1.3 and X Theme. I’ve tried adjusting the global CSS following the advice on this other thread below but this didn’t help.

Also wondering how to get rid of the post icon that appears on the left hand side of the post title.

Hi there,

The gap must be the section where the page title is supposed to be. Please try to edit the page then click on Disable Page title under Page settings.

As for the icons on the left of the post title, please add this in the custom CSS panel:

.entry-title:before {
    display: none;
}
