How to add mailchimp pop-up to website

Hi, we’ve tried to add the pop up subcribe of mailchimp using these steps: Where do you put the code for a mailchimp pop up? - Support - Themeco Forum But when i add the widget to the page it just shows the widget name but does not actually add a pop up. What am i doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

I’m sorry, we don’t have native theme functionality for this use case so you would need to use a plugin to get it working. There are other ways to do this with some custom development. For example, our builders have a modal element but that only shows when you click a button - not automatically. So you would need some additional javascript to trigger that. You would also need to already have a MailChimp form ready from another plugin or embed code.
