How to add lightbox to site

Hi,

I am using the Pro theme. I built my one page site with it www.standardphoto.co

I have been trying to add a nivo slider lightbox to the page, but can’t get it to work. I also tried other plugins and they don’t work either.

I have tried reading a support doc i found in the KB, but am not able to figure out how to make the lightbox work. I embed the shortcode as a href link on “view photo gallery” text (in the portfolio section), and the link ends up just going to a broken page instead of opening over the top of the current page.

Hey Jonathan,

Have you tried the Envira Gallery plugin? If not, go to Pro > Validation to install it. Once installed, set up a photo gallery or grid. If you’re not sure to create a gallery, please read this documentation: https://enviragallery.com/docs/creating-first-envira-gallery/.

To load the gallery lightbox using a text link, follow this instruction: https://enviragallery.com/docs/how-to-load-your-gallery-lightbox-from-a-text-link/.

You can see that in action in the following video. Just note that an image link is used rather than a text link. But, the principle is the same.

Thank you for the help. I did as you recommended and was able to get the envira gallery to work. However, it appears there has to be a gallery image on the page to use as the link to open the lightbox. I would like there to be no image, and to use the text ( or button), “View Photo Gallery” as the trigger to launch the lightbox.

Is this possible to do with the envira gallery?
